It's time again for another flash fiction contest over at Clarity of Night hosted by Jason Evans. This is Jason's ninth contest and if past contests are any indication, you won't want to miss this.
The "Running Wind" Short Fiction Contest starts today and runs until next Wednesday. All entries must be submitted via e-mail before 11:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 16th (Eastern Time, United States).
As in past contests, Jason has posted a photo from which to take your inspiritation. Your challenge is to write a piece of fiction or poetry with a maximum word count of 250 (not including title.)
Complete details and submissions guidelines are available at the link provided above.
If you've never written flash fiction before, I encourage you to give it a try. You'll find your writing skills challenged as you attempt to tell your story within the alotted 250 words.
If you're an old hand at writing flash fiction, what are you waiting for? Go check out the photo and get started.
After your story or poem is posted, come back and let me know so I can read it and leave a comment for you.
Best wishes and Good writing,
Susan Flemming
And while you're celebrating with family and friends take a moment to reflect and remember the sacrifices made by our veterans.
It's been a while since I posted anything from Hawai'i, home of my heart. I came across this video tonight. Enjoy!
*sigh* If you can't see the video, click on the link to comments. Why it is displaying there, I have no idea. I have contacted my webhost and hopefully they'll figure out what the problem is soon.
